we operate from the belief that everything is connected even if we can't see the connecting fabric. Most would agree that after birth a mother and child are connected even if we cannot measure this connection in a laboratory. When we feel connected to someone, the more we give of ourselves for the benefit of the relationship. If we are disconnected from others, we feel alone, vulnerable, and unloved.
this highly experiential process is not about a new way of thinking, but a new way of being. Rather than lecturing on thinking out of the box, participants are coached in being out of the box. . .the difference is one of experience. From outside our box we gain a whole new perspective to problem solving and innovation. to be out of the box requires
with soft music in the background, a series of guided imagery exercises create a state of deep relaxation. Once relaxed, we can observe our thoughts without "following" them or speculating upon their meaning. We become aware of how our thoughts silence our intuitive voice and inhibit our creativity. we learn to work with the silent spaces between our thoughts. In this new state of being we can change our perspective of the world.
we believe that we need to experience connection with each other as well as with nature. we must feel this connection, not just talk or read about it. the intellect can reason, but it cannot feel. one does not think love; one feels love. we must learn to listen to our heart which speaks so softly that an\unusual awareness is required to hear it.
