The intellect has little to do
on the road to discovery. There comes a leap in consciousness, call it
intuition or what you will, and the solution comes to you, and you don't
know how or why.
Albert Einstein
The Chinese do not have a word for crisis. Instead,
they merge two characters: danger plus opportunity.
We read the above
symbol as: a crisis is a dangerous opportunity. What
better way to describe the times we are living in. Critical? Yes. An
Opportunity? Most certainly.
But seeing opportunity means sensing where to step,
understanding how to move beyond the thinking that created the crisis in
the first place.
This is our focus. It is what we do best.
As consultants we supplement your rational,
well-developed high-tech abilities with high-concept
aptitudes that: involve the ability to
- be creative,
- detect
unseen patterns and opportunities,
- use a different way of
thinking to solve problems,
- and come up with inventions and
solutions that the world doesn't know it is missing.
We see the relationship between intuition and the
intellect as a dance. In the space between the two, an energy emerges,
this is the creative force necessary for wholeness. Without the
intellect, intuition has no way of expressing itself, there is no
action. Without honoring and acknowledging intuition there is no music
to dance to.
Our work is based on the belief
that:
- The abilities that were necessary for success in the
past two hundred years (logical, analytical, reasoning) are no longer
sufficient for the modern world. They are still necessary, but they
cannot stand alone. The abilities necessary today are those that help
us see the big picture, not just a piece of the whole. As Daniel Pink
states in his forthcoming book, A Whole New Mind: Moving From the
Information Age to the Conceptual Age, we have to master abilities
that we have overlooked and undervalued.
- There are non- ordinary states of consciousness in
which the past or future is glimpsed.
- Our universe is not static, it consists not of
things, but of possibilities.
- We are intimately related to everything that exists.
- Our belief systems and thoughts cause us to feel and
act the way we do.
- Our mind and habits will create either barriers or
bridges to a better future.
- It is important to know what we
believe (our paradigms) because we live our lives according to them.
Whether we are working with an
organization or an individual, we start with the premise that:
- Change is inevitable. It occurs everywhere . . .in business,
education, and our personal lives. Change is also necessary for
growth.
- It is possible to get a sense of upcoming
change, to create and facilitate change rather than be surprised by it.
- All information . . .new ideas that are unfolding, a
perception about the future, the solution to any situation, is
available.
- The "whole" is more than the sum of its
parts. Several members of an organization can bring forth more creative / original ideas than any one single individual. Then we have a mental launching pad to work with.
Using the Socratic method, we ask the client/groups
questions (in order to bring out the information that is within them)
after, or during, deep relaxation.
Our training is specifically designed to balance the
intellect with the intuitive. The informal format includes guided
imagery, lecture, story-telling, and video.
Participants are asked to:
- Evaluate their beliefs, and, in some instances,
suspend current beliefs in favor of allowing new (Creative) ideas to
emerge.
- Be creative: bring something new and original into existence.
- Understand the difference
between creativity and problem-solving, which deals with pre-existing
materials and circumstances.
- Practice simple
exercises in subtle energy as a way of accessing intuitive
information.
- Enter into a state of deep relaxation. Through natural sounds, music and guided imagery exercises participants will be asked to uncover "hidden" connections in life; discover the creative images, feelings, thoughts, and inner workings of their mind; and to develop sensitivity to their Spiritual nature.
- Recover as much of these connections and images as
possible through journaling, sharing, drawing.
- Attempt to decipher what at first may appear to be
their random thoughts,
- Apply the results in their life
(or that of their client)
- And most importantly, discover and honor their
uniqueness in this process.
Objectives: At the end of our
seminars, participants will:
- Recognize paradigms
that presently get in the way of their decision-making.
- Learn to expand their five senses by focused
awareness.
- Find their strongest sense, discover the language of
their intuition. Personal imagery and kinesthetic ability supports the
decision-making process.
- Apply the tools they learn for decision-making,
personally and professionally.
As facilitators, our goal is to
create and nurture the atmosphere that fosters creativity and
originality, and guide participants to get in touch with their own
intuitive abilities. Each of us is unique. (There is only one of us
in all of time.) Each of us has a purpose for being here.
When we
find our purpose, and are able to express our uniqueness, we are living
our potential.
