Except for the point, the stillpoint,
There would be no dance,
And there is only the dance.
T.S. Eliot

It is not news to anyone that our planet is in the midst of an incredible evolutionary event, physically and cosmically.  Beyond collapsing economies and religious extremes this chaotic, evolutionary event is a natural step in an unfolding process, rather than the tragic end to a broken planet.

During the booming 80's the study of self and intuition was a novelty, not a process we necessarily took seriously.  Now, thirty years later, many of us feel lost without a compass.  Our old self-explorations may not have brought us closer to our spiritual nature, and we feel as trapped by the physical world as anyone else.  We know that we have to be able to navigate rapidly shifting social, economic, and environmental conditions. How can we do this without fear? What do we trust? Who do we believe?

We are living the times we have read about, waited for, and longed for. These times call for tapping the resources of our intuition as well as collective intelligence and personal insight.

Please join me for one (or both) of these two half-day retreats. We'll create a sanctuary for slowing down and accessing our own authentic wisdom from within, and the guidance that emerges from attuned relationship with nature and others.

Through experiential and mindfulness-based practices drawn from guided imagery, Qi Gong, music, life coaching, and indigenous wisdom teachings, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Learn the Body/Mind Relationship (empowering self-care practices)
  • Become a fully present and compassionate observer of your inner and outer worlds
    Expand your tolerance and trust of being with chaos and the unknown
  • Befriend and transform your resistance to change and take refuge in "that which never changes"
  • Shift from habitual, reactive patterns to awareness and choice
  • Move beyond the limitation of the brain-mind to the expanded field of the heart-mind and body intelligence
  • Use Nature as a map for finding balance and harmony with nature's cycles and your own organic rhythms
  • Develop a toolbox of practices you can use on your own or with clients.
Please bring a journal or notebook, a small pillow, and a snack to share with your fellow seekers.

When attempting to explain and interpret the striking times and cosmic patterns now at hand, we all struggle. This is especially true among those of us working in the spiritual arena, who see triple whammies again and again in the lives of our clients - clients who want to know what is going on in their lives as the collective world around us comes apart at the seams. Can we share, do we share, what we really feel? Our distinctively modern ethical issues such as bartering, moral/ cultural relativism, boundary crossing, and consumption do not always fall cleanly into ethical guidelines. We are constantly being challenged and asked to re-define "what is ethical practice?" In this seminar we will touch upon:

  • Distinctly modern ethical issues such as moral/cultural relativism and consumption can tempt boundary violations and boundary crossing;
  • Self-disclosure as a necessary and effective therapeutic tool;
  • Bartering as the way of the future;
  • Why we may not be able to avoid the dual relationship;
  • The complexity of certain ethical decisions: which are difficult and far from clear-cut and yet present the need for an ethical understanding which is both humane and timely; and
  • Ethical standards as we navigate the transition from the current way of life to the one that is being imposed upon us.
