To say that "we live in unprecedented times" is an understatement. Life as we know it is rapidly changing. To say we have reached a tipping point, financially, environmentally, politically, is an understatement. Over the past few months I have said to numerous individuals (and groups), "Don't believe me. Please do your own research. Then come back and tell me what you think."

Carolyn provides numerous links to varying sources of information in her daily Truth to Power digest. It is the one digest I scan on a daily basis (unless I am traveling).

Since our media has morphed into "entertainment" (just my opinion) with no real sustance to what is taking place in our world, the information clearing house offers a fresh, perhaps challenging, view of the world we live in.

alternet is an online community of the alternative press, featuring news stories from alternative newsweeklies, magazines and web publications.

the energy bulletin A clearinghouse of information concerning the peak in global energy such as oil and gas.

guardian Latest news, sport, business, comment and reviews from the Guardian, the world's leading liberal voice.

arlington institute

Among other things, I am fascinated with the idea of anticipation/black swans, and "apparent" wild cards. The Arlington Institute uses every resource it can tap in order to anticipate the future. Their findings are well worth staying on top of.
